The Raleigh Sun was a newspaper published in Bellingen from March 1894. William Thomas Campell and Thomas Giddons set it up as a rival paper to Henry Boultwood's The Northern Courier. William Campbell's wife Elizabeth May Campbell ran The Raleigh Sun for 19 years after her husband's death in 1899. She set up the Coffs Harbour and Dorrigo Advocate in 1907, which is the precursor to today's Coffs Coast Advocate.
