Studied painting at National Art School, Sydney from 1991-93.John has had 12 solo exhibitions and many group shows most notably in 2013 having 4 works included in the exhibition "Still Life" at the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney. In 2012 he won the prestigious NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize and in 2013 won both the Wilson Art Award and the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award. Bokor has also received the Allen Gamble Memorial Art Award, The Waverley Art Prize and others. His paintings and drawings are held in public collections including: The Art Gallery of NSW, The Art Gallery pf Ballarat. The State Library of NSW, Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery and the NSW Parliament Art Collection. He lives in Bulli, NSW with his family.
