"Miss Edna Bray was crowned Queen of Agriculture and the two other candidates, Misses Maude Sawyer and Annie Hall, were given places of honor as Princess Bonville and Princess Jetty at the School of Arts last night. There was a big gathering, including many from Bonville. Boambee, Upper Orara, Karangi and other district centres. The imposing ceremony was well carried out and created much interest. The costumes were a special feature. The dresses of the girls were very pretty and the court officials were gorgeous in their raiment, specially hired for the ocassion [sic]. The new hall was a great help to the function, both for appearance and comfort. The ceremony was written by Mr. H. M. Henderson, and its originality and wit properly caught the audience.

PROCESSION ENTERS. The orchestra played a slow march and the procession entered with imposing dignity. First came the two Trumpeters (Misses Beryl Bray and Violet McLeod), followed by the Herald (Mr. R. C. Bray) in all his pomp and splendour. Two little Flower Girls (Nancy Baiter and Winnifred Ruthning) scattered rose petals before the Queen, who was attended by her retinue, and behind her came the Page (Master Royston Balzer), carrying the Crown on a cushion. Next in order was the Archbishop (Dr. O. G. Tunks): in full clerical raiment, then Princess Bonville and attendants and Princess Jetty and attendants. The Duke of Korora and Duke of the Jetty (Messrs: N. J. Hill and E .H. Anlezark), in court costume, brought up the rear. The Queen wore a charming frock of apricot silk lace over satin. Miss Hazel Wake was her chief attendant, and Joyce Bray and Mildred Ruthning her train-bearers. The Princesses and their attendants were also daintily dressed. Miss Sawyer wore ivory crepe de chene trimed with silver lace, with train of white tulle lined with eau de nil crepe de chene, and carried a sheaf of arum Iilies. Her attendants were Misses Muriel Irvine and Violet Hunter, and trainbearers Lorna Goodenough and Inez Johnson. Miss Hall wore white net with lace trimmings, train of white tulle lined with blue satin, and carried a sheaf of arum lilies. Her attendants were Misses.
