Description

The Coffs Harbour Jetty Surf Lifesaving Club started a competition women's team in 1921.

Inscription on reverse: Coffs Harbour Jetty Surf Life Saving N S Wales Australia Girls Team, The first fully equipped competition team in the world. To Mr Garbutt with best wishes on the eve of his departure for South Africa.

Iris Mills, Myra Shea, Doreen Shea, Doris Boles, Annie Boles, Mavis Kerr, Miss M Lake (Capt).

Inscription on reverse added at a later date: Coffs Museum, 1931, Lt to Rt Mavis Kerr, M. Lake, Doreen Shea, Iris Mills (Belt).
