Photograph of 16 year old Denise Platts wearing a potato hessian sack dress, late 1958 or early 1959, taken outside her parents' home at 16 Edgar Street, Coffs Harbour Jetty. The dress was made by Denise's sister, Colleen Gill, for a fashion parade at Coffs Harbour High School. Colleen worked at a fruit shop and sourced the sack from there. The hat, necklace and gloves belonged to Colleen and the shoes to their mother, Nellie Platts.
