Description
Loretto Carmichael nee Duggan was one of the early students at St Augustine's commencing school in about 1914. She was an accomplished violinist and taught music at St Brigid's Convent for many years with the Good Samaritan Sisters.
On their departure in December 1972, she taught music for a time with the Sisters of Mercy. She still taught violin to a few students at her home in Bonville Street into the 1980s.
