Home-made water skis
Thought to be first handmade skis in Coffs Harbour c. 1960. Wood, rubber and metal construction.
Description
Homemade water ski. The front end curves slightly upward, and has a plastic disc screwed onto it. The rear foothold consists of a heel rest and a strap which covers the foot, made of wood and thick leather. The front foothold is no longer attached. There is a single aluminium fin on the underside of the ski.
