Description
A postcard of Sawtell and a one-page leaflet titled 'Alterations of By-Laws'. The postcard features two hand-coloured images of John Suchomlin's sand sculptures. The one at the top is titled 'The Finding of Moses' and the lower is 'The Nativity'. An inscription on the back reads: 'SAWTELL, N.S.W., These models form part of a very interesting display created by John Suchomlin - world-famous sand modeller - who uses only sand, water and calcimine colouring. Mr. Suchomlin has worked in many parts of Australia including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and while in England his models includes members of the Royal Family. This display, created in 1962, is expected to last 5 years or more'.
