Order of the Eastern Star Martha sash, collar and jewel in maroon cloth envelope. The collar is V-shaped and is striped with the five colours of the Order; red, green, white, yellow and blue. A black bow is attached to the inside of the V with a safety pin. The sash is green coloured. Each end of the sash is edged with a gold fringe which sit at the hip of the wearer. The jewel is pinned onto the sash where the front and back join at the hip. It consists of five gold pieces joined together by gold chains. The top-most piece is ribbon shape and is engraved with 'Hastings River'; the second piece are the initials of the Order, O.E.S; the third piece is ribbon shaped and is engraved with: 'Chapter No. 186', and has a gavel dangling from the bottom; the fourth piece is engraved with '2nd Term 2005-2006', and the bottom-most piece is the five pointed star emblem of the Order superimposed on a map of Australia. Each corner of the star emblem features a different coloured 'gem'. Engraved on the back of the map of Australia is the following: 'Pres. to Sister Connie Kitchener P. W. M. for services rendered as Matron, 1992-1993'. The envelope has a closure consisting of two metal press studs, and the name 'Martha' is stitched in white on the front.
