Such a minimalist life form. A sleek muscular tube really. A stripped down metaphore for how existence transforms other than itself to make its own bubble of reality. Early in 2000 fossils of Ikaria Wariootia were found in South Australia. These tiny worm like creatures, about 2 to 7 mm long lived 550 million years ago and are thought to be the earliest animals on earth. What makes them an animal is that they are symmetrical and have a mouth, an anus and a through gut. They could move about.
Human beings like making things, and are interested in how stuff can be changed. Clay into pots. Clay pots heated to make them hard. Grain fermented to make beer. Water heated to make steam. The making of engines.
