It’s lush because of the rainfall and there is the beautiful backdrop of the coastal range. Within a few kilometres are the breaks of Byron itself, Broken Head and Lennox. It’s been a magnet for surfers from the very early 60s. The two in this picture are Wayne Lynch and Bob McTavish.
I was trying to take pictures that said something about the times. This is Wayne Lynch and Bob McTavish at the beautifully-named Possum Creek in the hills behind Byron Bay.
