Graham Bell Film & Audio Collection
In March 2021, Alexander Graham Bell generously donated to the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum a collection of films and radio productions from his extensive career in the broadcast industry.
Graham's first gig in radio was producing a country music program on 2CHY, Coffs Harbour. His deep knowledge of the genre led him to work on country music programs at the ABC. His work has been broadcast on at least 20 different stations across Australia, and internationally via the Australian Country Music Segment on Goodman Productions, Nashville, USA.
Ill health led Graham to leave radio. He began producing films about local history and interviewing local people about their lives and the changing face of Coffs Harbour and surrounds.
In 2020, Graham was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame, part of the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. Graham has generously allowed us to share these films and interviews from his collection.
