A new biennial art prize. From over 600 entries for the inaugural STILL life award, the 63 Still finalists are listed on the back cover page. The exhibition was held in the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery between 23 November 2017 and 20 January 2018. With generous sponsorship, a People's Choice Award was possible in addition to the inaugural art prize. In an accompanying new initiative for the National Still Life Award, a STILL Salon of 33 artists living and working on the Coffs Coast was hosted by the Sawtell Art Gallery from 9 December 2017 to 27 January 2018.

The first ever winner of the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery’s National Still Life Award was Sydney-based artist Sarah Goffman.

Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery is sited on the lands of the Gumbaynggirr people. We acknowledge the richness of their continuing culture, the wisdom of Aboriginal Elders both past and present and pay respect to Aboriginal communities of today.
