Letter from Private John Knox Perry to students of Coffs Harbour Public School, dated 14 January 1918. He thanks the children for the present they sent, and remembers his teachers. In the top left hand corner is a drawing he made of him as a boy smiling. John Knox Perry died in France on 24 August 1918, age 50. He suffered a shell wound that perforated his stomach.
