Description
Maternity support pantyhose with adjustable waistband, in original box. Made from nylon spandex, the waist section of the pantyhose has hooks and eyes on each side so that the fit can be adjusted for comfort. Stamped on the top side of the lid is the colour and size of the pantyhose, "ADORN AVERAGE". The box has a decorative paper lining which folds over and covers the hosiery. Printed on the right sided flap of the paper lining are some general instructions and a sizing chart.
Founded in Brunswick in 1920 by George Foletta, "Atlas Knitting and Spinning Mills" became Prestige Limited in 1922. The Prestige company was a major Australian textile manufacturer through until 1964 when it merged with Holeproof Ltd.
