Documented and transcribed by Emma Aspden for the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum Community Curator project, Mariam's Story is transcribed from an audio interview about Mariam, where she is from and how she came to be in Coffs Harbour.
Mariam has provided two recipes along with a handwritten one in Arabic for Kuleejah.

It is so important for each family in my community. This is something we respect. Everyone in my community has a Barat. It is so precious”.
