The genre is a strange convergence of killing and light entertainment, providing consumers with safety in the predictable structure of the storyline. I am fascinated by the popularity of these programs with Australian audiences, and which figures and institutions the seemingly benign stories repetitively uphold as the arbiters of authority, morality, power and knowledge.Accession NumberG2024.3.1Access AdviceFor research purposes only.
