The Goodenough family came to Australia from England in the early 1850s. John Goodenough, the son of Edward Goodenough who brought the Goodenough family to Australia, settled in the Coffs Harbour district in the 1880’s. Selecting land in Lower Bucca, John and his family were some of the first settlers in the area. Descendants still live in the area today.
