South Solitary Island Lighthouse
There are no more heroic souls than those keepers who manned this lighthouse for almost 100 years, who saw to it that their lights safeguarded ships on stormy nights, when communication was not as it is now. As most lights are on land, that of South Solitary was so very important, and how gladly that finger of light was welcomed by passing ships.
