‘Storm’ (1996) incorporates many of the same visual elements that appear in prints, drawings, paintings and sculptures dealing with the refugee theme, for example, the boat, the life bouys, ropes, ladders etc.
In the same year, 1996, Coleing was included in the Clemenger Contemporary Art Award, a major, triennial, invitational art prize organised under the auspices of the National Gallery of Victoria.
