Description
A letter typed on paper with the NSW Coat of Arms at the top and "Government Savings Bank of New South Wales/Rural Bank Department" printed underneath. The letter has been written by the Manager of the Grafton branch of the bank, to S.R. Gordon Esq. in Coff's Harbour. The Manager is advising the addressee that he knows of a recent offer that was made to him of £500 to purchase his property which he declined. Due to the addressee's circumstances the Manager feels he should consider any offers to purchase his property and is inviting him to come to the Grafton branch to "discuss the question of selling among other matters". He also writes "By selling you could get rid of your liability to the bank and have some money in hand towards other debts."
