A pale pink card made from a light cardboard and printed in black ink on both sides. The front of this clothing ration card has the name and location of the person this card has been issued to, and their Civilian Identity No, hand-written on the card in black ink. At the top of the card it states to "Preserve this card carefully by keeping it in an envelope or other suitable holder." There is also a small table at the bottom of the card where subsequent ration books or sheets are to be recorded. The reverse side of the card lists 10 points under "Directions for Use". Beneath this is a space for the cardholder's signature. A warning is also printed at the bottom of the card stating that "If this Card is found it must be returned at once to the Deputy Director of Rationing in Sydney. Any person found in unauthorized possession of another person's Clothing Card is liable to prosecution."
