Wedding ensemble consisting of dress, veil and headpiece:

• Dress: lace and satin bridal dress with long narrow sleeves and stand-up collar; lower centre front of skirt has tulle covering; centre back zipper. Size SSW.
• Veil: tulle bridal veil in 3 layers, gathered to narrow band; 2 short layers and 1 long for train.
• Headpiece: wire shaped headpiece to go over veil; decorated in 3 upper teeth scallops and 7 flowers with leaves, all in white satin and tulle; beading decoration.

Outfit worn by Maria Xuereb Formosa on her wedding day, Randwick, 9 September 1978. Wedding dress formerly owned and worn by the bride's sister, Rita Formosa, in 1974. Purchased from Cann's.
