A doiley press, consisting of 2 octagonal shaped pine wood boards with a green cord threaded through the centre line of both. Doilies would have been sandwiched between the two boards to prevent the textile from curling or warping in storage. The top board has been stained and decorated with a picture of a red poppy and a bud, with 4 leaves.
