Description
A portable cast iron press screwed onto a wooden base. There is a two-pronged power outlet and a small red light on one side of the press. The top plate of the press is held flush with the base plate by 2 large iron pins on either end. These pins have black ball-shaped heads to enable easier removal/insertion of the pins. There is a central screw on the top of the press which controls the pressure applied between the plates. This "Habasit" hot press was used to join fabric belts for industrial purposes, eg. conveyor belts.
