Binoculars in case:

• black T. Gaunt binoculars, metal and leather
• black leather hard case with top grab handle and strap; leather hinged lid with strap and buckle closure; lined with maroon felt.

Binoculars were used in the field by Alex Floyd OAM (1926 – 2022), a botanist renowned for his expert knowledge of NSW rainforest plants who helped set up the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens. It made up part of Alex Floyd's specimen collection kit which resided in his backpack.
