Texas is located just South East of Warrarmurm (Warmun, Turkey Creek) Community. As a family we all love to go out on our country spending the holidays / weekends fishing, hunting for bush turkeys and kangaroos etc as well as camping at our favourite camping places.
This artwork allows people to look at my country from a "birds-eye view" - looking down on the hills and scenery of Texas.
As a young child my elders would tell me dreaming stories as well as giving me other important knowledge about our country and traditions that I still have with me (inside) and am still learning. I Think it is very important to listen and learn the things that our elders teach us (culture and traditions) as it is a part of who we are, our identity.Accession NumberG2020.7.3Access AdviceFor research purposes only.
