Two of the men have the surname Freeman. They are likely to be the two young men referred to here:

Mr. John Freeman, lately of Coffs and now residing at Bangalow, has his two soldier sons—Ptes. A. F. and A. P. Freeman - home again, both looking well. The former received his third wound in the terrible fighting on August 8, 1918, when he lost a finger and was gassed. The latter won the Military Medal and was twice wounded, the second time most severely. A third son of Mr. Freeman ("Ossie") arrived in France in time to give Fritz a helping hand on the road to Berlin; this lad is still in England, but expects to get back to Aussie very shortly.
