The Coffs Harbour Story Part 2 looks at the development of the town from the 1890s onwards. This includes major projects such as the construction of the harbour breakwalls and the railway line. It includes interviews with Peter Leonard who worked on the railways for 39 years; Archie Hunter whose father was the Lead Ganger on the breakwater construction; Carmen Sellings who worked for the Public Works Department; and Neville Budge, who was Chairman of the Fishermans Coop for many years. The closing scenes include photographs from Les Grant.
