Bill and Aileen have lived in Coffs Harbour most of their lives. Bill was a very keen country music entertainer before he was married, and was very successful and popular in Grafton and Coffs Harbour with songs he wrote and his stage performance. He came second in the Australia's Amateur Hour show.
After Bill and Aileen married they continued entertaining, and appeared with artists such as Smoky Dawson in Adelaide. After being on the road for three years, including a stretch on the Reg Lindsay Show, they settled back in Coffs to raise their family.
They never stopped entertaining! They were always the first to volunteer their talents whenever there was a function to raise money for a worthwhile cause. Bill and Aileen were popular entertainers at many of the nursing homes in Coffs Harbour where they appeared regularly with their close friends Les and June Bruton.
Aileen sadly passed away in 2014. At 90, Bill was still taking his caravan and travelling to country music festivals and performing on stage hundreds of kilometres away from home. His dulcimer was always very popular.
