This video tells the story of Joe Corrigan who grew up in Moonee. He walked three miles to school when he was six years old, and could drive a bullock team by the time he was ten.
The family bought land in the area that later became Bailey Avenue. Joe lived through the Great Depression, and reflects on how Coffs Harbour has developed over the last 90 years.
Joe drove a bullock team for 60 years - his whole working life - and still has a team. He sold his bullocks in the 1950s with the intention of buying a truck, but explains what made him change his mind. Joe turned 90 in 2013.
