The metal badge is gold coloured with an enamelled front with an image of an exploding pink star on top of a red crescent shape and blue-black swirl with gold lines. The ribbon banner at the base has "Coffs Harbour Australia" printed on it in gold. On the back of the badge is the maker's logo "M & L" and their phone number.

The badge is still in its original small resealable plastic bag.

An initiative begun in 2011 by Paul Amos, a local businessman at the time, to create a unique souvenir badge of Coffs Harbour to give to visitors as a keepsake.
