The Coffs Coast Advocate of 13 January 2001 stated:

This huge blackbutt tree, with a girth of 45 feet (13.72 metres) at shoulder level was on George England's farm in North Boambee, 1915-1917. The tree was burnt out and its hollow remains were later used as a packing shed by Mr Fowler.
