In the letter, the Director and Secretary of the Tourist Bureau is confirming the cost and type of accomodation for Mrs. Ephraim Bass and her nurse and driver at the Plantation Hotel. Mrs. Bass was expected to arrive in Coffs Harbour from New York on the 21st of July 1960 and leave on Sunday the 24th of July 1960. The text is typewritten and includes annotated notes by the manager in blue pen on the right side. The heading of the letter has the address and logo of the New South Wales Tourist Bureau.
The hotel was to have 24 bedrooms and other trading quarters, including lounges, parlours, a saloon, public bar, beer garden and bottle department (The Australian National University Open Research Library has a record of the building specifics and photographs of the curved facade, https://openresearch-repository.anu.edu.au/handle/1885/118609).
